✦ how it works ✦
How picpost works.
A photo goes in, a real postcard comes out the other end — printed, stamped, and mailed for you. Here's the whole machine.
The short version
- Pick a photo. Upload it and frame it — what you see on the card is what prints.
- Write the back. A note in your own words, signed however you like.
- Address it. Tell us who it's going to; we verify the address before anything prints.
- Pay. One flat price — $5 per card, printing and postage included.
- We mail it. We print on heavy gloss card stock and send it first-class via USPS.
Common questions
How much does it cost?
$5 per card. That's the whole price — printing and US postage are included. No subscriptions, no surprise fees.
How long until it arrives?
Cards print and ship within a business day or two, then travel first-class through USPS — usually about a week from order to mailbox. Holidays can stretch that a little.
What is the card like?
A 4×6-inch postcard on heavy gloss-coated stock — your photo printed full-bleed on the front, your note on the back. The same format as the postcards in a seaside gift-shop rack, just with your photo on it.
What photos work best?
Almost anything from a modern phone prints beautifully — the card is only 4×6 inches, so you don't need a fancy camera. Sharp, well-lit photos look best in gloss; you'll see exactly how it's cropped and framed before you pay.
Can I track it?
Yes. You'll get a tracking link by email after you order — no account needed. You can also look it up anytime on the tracking page with your order ID.
Do I need an account?
Nope. You give an email at checkout so we can send your tracking link, and that's the entire relationship. No password, no newsletter, no "create your free account to continue."
What happens to my photo?
It's used to print your card and kept only as long as we need it to fulfill and support your order — then deleted. We never sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. Details in the privacy policy.
Where do you mail to?
The United States only — we don't ship internationally.
Something went wrong with my card.
Then we'll fix it — genuinely. If it shows up damaged or never arrives, see our refunds & shipping policy or just email us. It's a small operation, so you're emailing the person who can actually do something about it.
